CREMAISH

CREMA translates to the rich layer of foam that floats on top of a cup of Espresso. The quality of a perfect cup of coffee is characterized by the immense richness of the CREMA and its immaculate blend to the coffee. For the brand founders, coffee represents their attitude towards life and CREMA represents one’s inner aesthetic. The blend of these two displays the founders’ vision and approach towards life as well their artistic persistence. Having both a designer and a stylist on the team, the concept of design is centered around the idea of diversity and inclusiveness. The brand also aims to merge materiality with creativeness, creating a sense of balance, delivering both the beauty of simplicity and complexity at the same time. ‘ISH’ is a colloquial suffix used to describe ‘having touch or a trace of…’ and used by adding it at the end of a noun or adjective. In the case of CREMAISH, Crema represents our passion and design, while the ish at the end represents a goal, an idea that we wish to bring for the customer.

KWAI YUEN CHAN Borned in Hong Kong in 1990. Kwai Yuen graduated from Parsons School of Fashion. He was awarded the CFDA+ 2018 Design Graduates and well exposure about his thesis collection. It has shown at Nordstrom Fifth Ave. Shortly after, he has had an opportunity to work for Raf Simons in New York in 2018 A/W. In 2019, he has invited by Hypebeast as the designer to design a pair of conceptual Air Max sneakers for Nike. YI HSUAN TSAI Born in Taipei in 1993. Yi Hsuan studied fashion at the Academy of Art University before switching courses to take up communication and styling. After graduating in May 2017, she employed to work for Belgian stylist Olivier Rizzo in New York City and Los Angeles. From 2017-2018, she participated ad campaign shot by Willy Vanderperre, highlights include Calvin Klein by Raf Simons and Prada. The projects have also included the likes of A$AP Rocky and Kardashian family for CK Jeans. In 2019, the two returned to China and an idea to construct a lifestyle fashion brand splashed with a dash of modern art aesthetic began to sprout . Now in 2022, after two years of exploration, originating from handbag designs, the brand CREMAISH has been born.
