Established in 2012 with online and retail salesbeginning in Spring 2013, the company currently has two lines:Christopher Bu (Couture) and Chris by Christopher Bu (Ready-to-Wear).Christopher Bu's ready-to-wear line's target market is women betweenthe ages of 25-35, and items are priced between US$300-600 per piecedomestically. Besides well-known department store-Lafayette(Beijing), Chris byChristopher Bu is sold in more than 20 brick-and-mortar outlets infirst and second-tier cities throughout China including Beijing,Shanghai. The company's flagship boutique and headquarters is locatedin Beijing. In addition to its domestic Chinese expansion, Christopher Bu is beginning its international expansion efforts, starting in majorAmerican fashion hubs like New York and Los Angeles to better serveits expanding American celebrity client base including Katy Perry, Emma Roberts, Nina Dobrev, Dita Von Teese,Brenda Song etc., .

DESIGNER

Christopher Bu graduated from Beijing film academy with a film related major in 2003, then was working as a makeup artist and celebrity stylist for the past 10 years, gained his stardom as personal stylist for Chinese actress Fan Bingbing. His love and passion for fashion never faded, then he started the brand Christopher Bu in 2011, making red carpet gowns mixed with western draping and heavy oriental traditional embroideries. The fusion RTW line called Chris by Christopher Bu was established in late 2012. His design focuses on vibrant color and fun prints/embroideries, and brings out the softness and femininity through simple cuts, lines and silhouettes; his mastery of colors enables him to keep the balance between boldness and grace, known by many as “playful elegance”
