51 E JOHN
Founded in 2016 by two young designers, Yang and Zhan in New York city,51 E JOHN is an experimental jewelry line that brings new blood to the traditional jewelry-making process.
Adhering to the concept of paying tribute to classic jewelry and fashioning its design techniques, the two designers use colored gemstones and metals as the medium to deconstruct and redefine jewelry, combining their special advantages across industries with their humorous and interesting characters. In pursuit of perfect quality, they always consider jewelry as precious "wearable work of art", instead of simple body decoration. Since entering the Chinese market in 2020, the Deconstructed Bisected rings from the classic series and Valentine's Day "You Complete Me" necklace and other products have quickly become the darlings of many celebrities and fashionistas. 51 E JOHN has attracted attention from all walks of life with its unique design and sophisticated concept.
51 E JOHN isn’t just a name, it’s a location where founders Yang and Zhan discovered themselves to be roommates while pursuing their degrees in Jewelry Design. The name came from the address of John Street located on the UIUC campus. They were classmates at that time, also jewelry students, jewelry lovers, and roommates. They believe “51 E JOHN" should not only be an address of an apartment but a starting point of a dream come true.
