Yang is a cross-major designer who works across fashion and jewelry. She had her BA degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign(UIUC) majored in Metal/ Jewelry Design. She had her MFA degree in Fashion Design and Society program based in Parsons School of Art and Design. Transferring from jewelry design to fashion design makes her unique. In fashion, Yang has shown her women's wear collection on New York fashion week in both 2018 and 2019. She was the first Chinese and first graduate student who triumphant in winning the Geoffrey Beene design scholarship award which was rising by CFDA. She has been announced at CFDA 2017 Fashion Design ceremony. She had her works being published multiple times in jewelry magazines and be interviewed by different magazines like Vogue, L’officiel, 1 Granary， etc., and 5 exhibitions from New York, Shanghai to Paris. In jewelry, Yang has been interviewed by different magazines such as Chinese Jewelry, Sohu Fashion, Chinese Makeup, etc. She got her NGTC jewelry appraiser diploma in 2016. Not only improving but redefining is her design spirit. She believes that her work should come from a huge amount of experiments, deep thoughts, and open minds.
