This October's fashion season has come to a close, and as ONTIMESHOW 2018SS ends, Ontimeshow continues its forward progress.
Professionalism and Attention to Detail
At Shanghai Fashion Week, this season’s Ontimeshow still ranks first among all the exhibitions and showrooms. This year there were 276 brands from all over the world, and a total of 6276 professional attendees. In the three days of intense transactions and intimate exchanges, how can we meet the needs of everyone who enters this this huge space? Before, during and after each season, we ask ourselves this question again and again.
We paced back and forth in the 8600 square meters of the West Bund Art Center, putting ourselves in the shoes of exhibitors, buyers, media and attendees. For every kind of attendee, Ontimeshow's on-site experience should be as good as possible.
At Ontimeshow, you can get our exclusive QR code and detailed guide of the exhibition as soon as you walk through the door; you can choose from ten different dining options with different flavors; you can take a break in the rest area on the second floor with music coming from our SONOS sound system; and you can of course also find our lovely volunteers wearing Ontimeshow everywhere.

In addition, the previously unused second floor space has been fully upgraded this season. Leading showrooms like Tudoo and Shock Value, and top-quality designer brands like Vega Zaishi Wang and Wang Changrong, not only have a larger and more private display and conversation space, but also enjoy food and champagne. In addition, Ontimeshow selected 10 new designer brands and placed them in the YOUNG TALENT zone, so that the buyers can easily find these up and coming designers.

Ontimeshow's International Perspective
In 2015, when Ontimeshow first came to the West Bund, our task was to be "based in Shanghai, with a view out to the world". This time we delivered on this mission, cooperating with an international exhibition. WHITE trade show from Milan, Italy, came, bringing 56 Italian designer brands. Along with their brands, they also brought with them the professionalism and strength of the Italian fashion industry.
The reach of Ontimeshow’s brands is extensive and diverse. The proportion of overseas brands this season was as high as 45%, followed by 31% Mainland Chinese brands and the remaining 24% from Greater China, namely Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
This season, we worked closely with Herschel Supply, a Canadian bag brand. Herschel Supply created a series of showrooms with distinctive designs in the first floor space, and put Ontimeshow on its bag collection launched jointly with Chinese designer brand KKtP.
We also invited Adam Katz Sindings, an internationally renowned street style photographer who regularly appears at the Big Four Fashion Weeks, to photograph the fashionable attendees of Ontimeshow.
Size and Breadth, but with Precision and Accuracy
Everyone who comes to Ontimeshow will be struck by the size of our venue. One of the key advantages of Ontimeshow lies in its large selection, but we are also committed to understanding the tastes and needs of each buyer and designer to encourage orders and promote business is its key mission.
Thus, with the support of seven seasons' data and experience, we launched ROOMROOM, Ontimeshow’s very own in-house showroom. We try to understand and solve designer brands’ needs, to act as a problem solver rather than just a providing them with a space to meet buyers and other designers.
The first designer brands to join ROOMROOM include: womenswear brands IMMI, Bachelor Manner, Yingpei Studio, and accessories brands A L'EPOQUE, NoBeing, OYang, The Owner, and TTZO Barcelona. They not only have exclusive space at the exhibition, but also receive three days to attract orders after the main show finishes.
New Forms of Presentation and Expanding Ideas
Why should a trade show host fashion shows, pop-ups, creative short films, talks, art exhibitions, photography exhibitions, or performance parties? We are often asked this question, but Ontimeshow has been innovating in its creative presentation since our very first season. Because we believe that only by constantly promoting creativity and broadening our form of presentation can we stimulate more and better ideas.
This time, we also worked with the Condé Nast Center of Fashion and Design, inviting two professional mentors, Susan Jenkyn-Jones, Senior Academic Director of Design and Professor of Fashion Education at Condé Nast Center, Shanghai, and Ms. Huang Yijie, who has more than ten years’ experience as a buyer of international fashion brands, to give in-depth lectures for designers and buyers.
We have always regarded ourselves as a bridge that connects designers, buyers, ideas and markets, content, talent, and knowledge, between China and abroad.
When these responsibilities in mind, we have already started Ontimeshow 's preparations for our next season, 2018AW. Follow Ontimeshow’s official WeChat and Weibo to receive the latest content!
