A Gathering of Friends Old and New

Ontimeshow opens again for Spring/Summer 2017 at the West Bund Art Center, where over 200 designer brands from home and abroad will display their latest collections. In addition to menswear, womenswear, and accessories, the proportion of lifestyle brands in the exhibition has risen sharply, and the number of industry attendees on the first day has exceeded 1000.

Our old friend Lorenzo Hadar, founder of H. Lorenzo in Los Angeles, told us: "Ontimeshow has always maintained its own style and standard. I am happy to hear that Ontimeshow will be working with the West Bund Art Center for the long term. As a buyer who has been watching exhibitions all over the world for many years, I am amazed every time I come to this venue."

On the first day of the exhibition, Diane Pernet, a renowned fashion critic and fashion filmmaker, came to her friend Alicia Lee’s exhibition, and also came to the New Talent area to speak with Tommy Zhou, an exciting young designer.

Bringing Imagination to Retail Spaces

This time Ontimeshow's biggest feature was the addition of ROOM ROOM in the second floor space. Each of the six spaces shown in ROOM DECO gives visitors a different perspective on various possibilities for retail spaces. Fashion can overlap with products and trends in other fields such as lifestyle, art, and culture to produce new kinds of displays.

"This time we can see a lot going on besides buying and selling at Ontimeshow, which makes our buyers very happy. I think one trend among buyer stores is to specifically curate and display a specific lifestyle, and this is what I see in these displays. As an exhibition, it is a difficult but necessary challenge to think about these trends. – The Fashion Door Chairman Yu Zeping

Brainstorming

In addition, ROOM TALK took place on the first day. Shao Jun, He Youjia, Howell, and Kim, four experts from different fields, shared their experiences and thoughts with us about branding, design, trends and other topics.

A Consumer-facing Experience

On the second floor, in addition to ROOM DECO we had ROOM POP-UP, which was composed of fashion, accessories, lifestyle, home and other brands. We made this open to the public, so that regular consumers could see a selection of designer brands, and directly purchase them.

It's good to be ontime!
